Our Programs

AMANI Kenya Initiative empowers communities, youth, and local leaders across Kenya with the tools, mediation frameworks, and civic knowledge needed to prevent conflict, foster peace, and build resilient, self-reliant societies.

Community Mediation & Conflict Transformation

This program establishes localized dialogue forums and trains community elders, youth leaders, and civil society groups in alternative dispute resolution (ADR). By addressing land disputes, resource tension, and political friction at the neighborhood level, we de-escalate conflicts early using non-violent, restorative practices.

Civic Education & Democratic Accountability

We educate citizens on their constitutional rights, public participation, and peaceful governance. This initiative equips grassroots communities with the tools to track local resource allocation, engage constructively with public institutions, and advocate for transparent, accountable leadership.

Youth Peacebuilding & Ethical Leadership

Young people are often the most vulnerable to political exploitation and violence. Through peace sports leagues, digital literacy workshops, and youth leadership retreats, AKI channels youth energy away from radicalization and hate speech toward civic engagement, entrepreneurship, and peer mentorship..

Inclusive Women & Marginalized Groups Network

Sustainable peace is impossible when major segments of society are excluded. This program ensures women, persons with disabilities, and marginalized community members have active seats on local peace committees, pairing leadership training with micro-enterprise development to build financial independence alongside social stability.
